Installing Norton AV Corporate Edition 7.6 on Win2000

Hi,

I am attempting to install Norton AV corporate 7.6 onto our Win2000 server, but at the point where I select the server to install onto, and hit 'Add', the install program freezes. this happens if I do it at the server itself or remotely. One oddity I did notice is this: although this may not have anything to do with anything, the 'Logical Disk Administrator' service is stuck in 'starting' mode (in services). Any ideas, workarounds etc.?

HI.

First, check the Event Viewer for more hints.

If you suspect that the server is already infected with virusses, then you can install W2K (PRO or SERVER) on another hard disk with the AV including live update, and then connect the current posibly infected disks and scan them.

You can also try "Safe Mode" and see if it helps.
