I have a BCM400 that has been up and running with POTS lines and the PRI has finally come in. I installed the DTM Module and set the dip switches to BUS7 with the dip switches for 4 and 6 set to off. In the programming I set the module to PRI and it seems like my settings match Telco's.

The lights on the module itself have been blinking since being installed. Does the BCM need to be rebooted after changing the module to PRI? Am I also correct to have it set as a trunk module and not a data module?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trunk module is correct.

Might need to disable/enable bus 7 after your programming changes have been made.

Have you connected the circuit to the card yet?

I disabled and enabled bus 7 and nothing changed. The circuit is plugged in and I have a red light on TLOS on the smartjack.

Is this an extended demarc? Sounds like transmit and receive might be flipped on the cable between the BCM and smartjack.

Wasn't on when you were, but I just registered on your site. You can hunt me down with the info I provided.... :)

I think the telco in the US has give me everything I need.I was provisioning a PRI circuit in the US and I knew very little about your protocols. There seems to bit alot of different settings. In Europe they all comply to the ETSI standards so general the systems are all the same.

Thanks Biv

Marshall

I use a loopback plug to see if the LED's go out if I'm having a problem. If they go out it's usually a telco problem, only once it was a cable extending the Demarc.
