Installing new IPO with 9608 phones

All,

I have been bashing my head against a wall for some time now so I figured I would reach out for help. We just got a test system in house and I am trying to get it configured with no luck. This thing is VERY basic, just an IPO with 2 9608 phones off of it. For some reason, when tracing I can see my phone talking to the IPO, but network sniffing tells me the response isn't leaving the IPO to go back to the phone. I do see the H323 messages back to the phone in the SysMonitor though saying the "RasMessage = gatekeeperConfirm".

I only have a LAN cable plugged into LAN1, and I have assigned my IP address in there to the switch. I have all the VoIP stuff under LAN2 unchecked thinking maybe it was trying to go out that second NIC somehow. I am open to any ideas or testing anything.

what exactly is happening or not happening? also give us some info here as to what type of switch and software release etc...

I got it figured out, it was the IPRoute that was giving us problems. Our switch is on one subnet while the phones are on a different subnet and we needed to define the Gateway in the IP route and send that traffic out LAN1. They Phones are Upgrading their Application as I type this.
