Hi, I have downloaded XML4J 3.0.1 to use with sun's jdk1.2.2 for Linux, and I can't seem to find the right spot for the .jar file that came with the package and where all the classes the I need to work with are. i have tried to put it where all teh other .jar's are, but he cannot find them when I try to run javac on my new javafile.

Hi!<br><br>Do you set the CLASSPATH correctly? You must add the path of the new package (where you install it) to the CLASSPATH environment variable. If you install the new package \usr\newpkg\pkg.jar the CLASSPATH should like this:<br>CLASSPATH=.;....(old values);\usr\newpkg\pkg.jar<br><br>Good luck. Bye, Otto.<br>
