Hi all,

I have HP 4000 printer connected to my 1900 Switch through a Cat5 cable.

How can I configure a windows 2003 server to manage this printer.

Add it as a local printer and untip "automatacaly detect etc" and click next than "create new poort" and folow the instructions give it a ip address and on the client add the printer networkprinter \\servername\printername (sharename) and viola.

How do you enable NTFS permission on this printer so that LAN users are not allowed to install it and use as they like.
