i am running windows 2000 and am installing the printer, its a network printer, i put in the \\server name\printer name

then i get an error, "You do not have sufficient access to your machine to connect to the selected printer"

the printer and driver is installed on
windows NT 4 server
Its a HP Color laserjet 5500 DN PCL6 driver

also the server is at a different location.
i can access all the printers on local network 192.168.200.*
but this printer is on the 192.168.201.* network

i installed it localy using tcp-ip port, put in a share name and all

but i still get the access error

The server also has other printers, such as laserjet 1200

i can connect to them fine, no worries

its jus the laserjet 5500 that i am having problems with

thanks :)

i resrestarted the server that the printer was on, and it seems to be working now

i hate NT so much........
