Hi all,
I'm trying to do a client rollout of NAV 8.0. The NAV server is running on Windows 2000 Server sp3 and the clients are running NT 4.0 sp6a. When I try to rollout the client NAV installs successfully but it doesn't see the parent server so it cannot get the latest virus updates.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the following registry key, make sure the parent name is correct:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LanDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\ClientConfig
If this fails to do it, you'll want to view the grc.dat file, look up Document ID: 2002091816421448 at Symantec's website.

You can also copy the GRC.dat file from the NAV server share to the NT folder. This might reset it to point to the home server and start picking up policies and definitions...

Thanks. I tried copying the GRC.dat file from the new parent server to the client that wasn't registering and it picked up the server after a restart.
