Where I work we clone our PC's with Norton Ghost. Our PC's our networked and we have user profiles enabled. Sometimes we find that when a user logs on and tries to open a Office app. it returns an error 'this application needs to be installed to run, please reinstall the application from it's original location'. What causes this and how can we resolve it easily. Reinstalling Office does the trick but it's a real pain, the MS Knowledge Base also says reinstall Office. But surely there must be something better than reinstallation. We have a network of over 1000 PC's, which is getting bigger all the time, so we would like to cure the problem. DEC

The one thing that comes to my mind:
When you installed Office on the first PC (from which all other ghosts are made), was it installed under the administrator USERCODE?
My thinking is that a user with administrative ACCESS is still just a user when installing software under the more recent versions of Windows (WinNT, Win2k, WinXP)
