Hi,

a silly question.
In a Server Edition virtualized with R9.1 how do I install the licenses correctly?
I mean I had installed in Manager all my licenses, then I purchased 10 Office Worker more and the BP provided it to me, but when I installed it all the old licenses was deleted and only remained the license with the 10 OW, so basically everything stopped working.
So is it an special way to install a incense incrementing the ones I already had without deleting them?
Thanks

Login, go to licences and copy in the licence keys.

Hi,

It is an Ip Office Select.
And I understand what tlpeter says because I used to installs licenses like that, adding a new item and introducing the id of the license, but now I don't find a serial number for each license item, like this:
<Name>VALUE_IPO_VM_PORTS</Name>
<DisplayName>Incremental Voicemail Ports</DisplayName>
<Value>90</Value>
<ExpirationDate></ExpirationDate>
</Feature>
<Feature type="counted">
<Name>VALUE_IPO_VM_RECORDINGS_ADMIN</Name>
<DisplayName>VMPro Recordings Administrators</DisplayName>
<Value>1</Value>
<ExpirationDate></ExpirationDate>
</Feature>

There are two items but each hasn't any serial number.
Thanks

That looks like a PLDS license (assume you got a xml file) and should be installed as such.
Don't know if you can mix ADI and PLDS though if it already has other ADI licenses.

You cannot mix ADI and PLDS.
When it is a select then PLDS must be used and it uses a weblm license server.
I never done that so i have no idea how to add them in this case.

Yes, it is an .xml license file, but all my licenses was in the same format .xml, not as ADI.
My concern is not how install then, is more how I don't delete the previous when I install a new one.
I am not using the weblm to install the licenses, I am using Manager to do it.
As far as I know we are not mixing ADI with PLDS, all of then are PLDS.

Okay, when use a LAC code to get new licenses it will only include the new or changed licenses in the licensefile.
You can choose to regenerate the license in PLDS which would include all licenses but there shouldn't be any problems just adding the new ones you got.

I've only done this in Aura but should work the same, the only IPO I have PLDS on I've only installed the licenses that came with it so far.

Do you mean you have to regenerate the PLDS license including the previously purchased licenses and the new one in the same .xml file?
That's what I am doing now but I supposed it was another way to just add a new purchase license without the need to have in the license file the ones you purchased before. Mainly because you can forget any previous license and have only some of then, so I don't see the efficiency of doing with that method.
Many thanks for all your answers.

You should be able to just add the first file you got, it's supposed to only update the licenses included in the file and the old licenses should remain. At least this is how it works on Aura with WebLM.

That's what I thought, but when I installed the second one deleting the first I was astonished.
Maybe it only happened to me because I suppose the right way to do it is not deleting the previous one.
Thanks for all your answers.

No, you should not delete the existing license, in that case you need to regenerate the license.
It's supposed to just add the changes to the existing license.
