Hi,

Replaced a malfunctioning MPBN with another. The old one had license for CTI, PC Atendant and dual rack (PCK: 2,3,7). the replacement only has dual rack license (3). I have the key (Prog 78) from the old system. How can I transfer the license data?

Thanks in advance.
Dave.

You could try inputting the lock-key in to it, but I do not know if that would work.

Assuming you have LAN access to the KSU, open a Telnet instance to the KSU LAN IP and log in to maintainance mode with username jannie

Enter q w 1 <lock_key> for PC Attendant
Enter q w 2 <lock_key> for TAPI (CTI Application supporting TAPI)

Attached is a link where I sourced this information from.

I don't know if this will work for you or not - but the information is there. I think you may have to talk to an LG Engineer and explain what happened and they can probably help you from there on.

Good luck, and let me know how you go!

Thank you. That is exactly what I need to do (thank you for showing me how) but of course the feature lock codes are:

a) no longer available from LG in Australia
b) the old ones are unique to the previous MPB so changing MPB means new ones have to be obtained.

I will try and buy the lock codes from an LG vendor somewhere. The more I look at this system the more I want to tear it off the wall and buy a new one.

Haha! They get a bit annoying sometimes! The 1/2 AA battery went flat in my LDK-20 and I lost all of my settings and it defaulted to Korean default settings!

Let me know if you find a vendor selling lock keys anywhere, as I may need one for VoIP on my system

You should not loose your serial number, if the battery goes flat!
Try to reinstall your latest backup, or contact your dealer to get the serial number with licenses written to your MPB.
