Hi,
I need to install the HP Jetadmin software, but my CD-Rom is not showing in ioscan. I can't bring the server down to diagnose the problem until the weekend. I was hoping that I could ftp the Jetadmin files from windows over to HP-UX and then install from there. Is this possible and if so how would I go about it. After copying the files to a directory I created at /jetadmin, I copied the HP10d615.SD file to the /tmp file. I tried using the swinstall program, but it doesn't see the /tmp/HP10d615.SD file as the source depot. I am not really HP-UX saavy here, so please reply in simple terms. Thank you in advance for any/all help.

Hi Lyomnt,
Check the type of file
#file HP10d615.SD (this will tellsyou which kind of file is that).
Make sure that you transfer file from NT to unix using FTP on binary mode.
#cksum HP10d615.SD (to check integrity of file when you tranfer file between two systems).
