Installing Impromptu series 7 version 2 on windows 2k

I have a dell latitude pentium 3 laptop running windows 2000.
when i try to install impromptu series 7 version 2. I get a message saying "setup cannot continue because an outstanding reboot is required. please reboot your computer
and try again". despite having rebooted several times. I found a solution which worked on a nt os but not windows 2k.

solution: rename the GSUNINSTALL.FLG TO GSUNINSTALL.OLD in the local temp directory.

can anyone help?

The same types of file exist on Windows 2K. I THINK that it may be called gsuninst.flg now so do a search on gs* to find them.
