Installing IBM Token Ring card thats fine in 95

I am installing an IBM Token Ring PC Card 2 in a Compaq Armada E500 running Windows 98. The PCMCIA card works fine in the same laptop running Windows 95. I have checked that I am using the correct driver, and have even downloaded the latest one from IBM. I have also tried running Fixwin95 batch file supplied by IBM which apparently enables the card to be installed on Win98B, but still get no joy. Anyone got any ideas?
