I just installed a new HD on our 5.1 server with a Raid 5 config. The drive is coming up as a "Unbound Deivce Object".

How do I get this thing to be avialble space? I am new to Novell so be nice :)

Thanks!

You have to add the drive to the RAID array using whatever tools that came with your RAID controller. Once added to the array, it will simply show up as free disk space in Netware.

ok. So I know that adaptec is was the RAID controller. How do I find that Tool?

As the system boots, you should see a message (while the machine POSTs, before it starts loading Netware) that says something like "Press F10 to enter Adaptec configuration utilities". This usually appears right after the SCSI disks are discovered.

Adaptec may also have a utility that will access the RAID setup while the machine is running. Check their website or the install CD that came with the controller.
