I have a hard drive that has information I want to access. Is it possible to install the drive on XP without formating?

Install it as a slave (assuming your xp drive is master). If the file system is Fat32 you will immediately have access to everything. If the drive is NTFS, you may have to take ownership of the files before you can access everything. Use XP's Help & Support for more info on 'take ownership'.
