Installing GW Messenger Client silently 1

Here's a way to install the GW 6.5 Messenger Client silently
and integrated with a silent installation of the GW 6.5 client.

In the the Software Distribution directory (SDD) and software\client\win32 directory you should modify the SETUP.INI and SETUP.CFG files.

In SETUP.INI file you should have a line like this:
EnableLangDlg=N

In SETUP.CFG file you should have the follownig entries:
[GroupWiseSetup]
ShowDialogs=No

[ShowDialogs]
HideAllDialogs=Yes

[gwmess]
Hide=No
Workstation=Yes
Default=Yes

Then create this directory:
<SDD>\software\client\win32\AddOns\gwmess

Copy all files and folders from <drive>\client\win32 directory of the Messenger CD to the above directory.

Next you should modify SETUP.INI and SETUP.CFG in
<SDD>\software\client\win32\AddOns\gwmess directory.

In SETUP.INI file you should have a line like this:
[Startup]
EnableLangDlg=N

In SETUP.CFG file you should have the follownig entries:
[ShowDialogs]
HideAllDialogs=Yes




These settings are options you could use if you like:
[NMSetup]
LaunchNow=No
LaunchOnStartup=No
ViewReadme=No
IconOnDesktop=No
ServerAddress=your servername
ServerPort=8300
ForceAddressAndPort=Yes
