while installing gcc on SUSE9.2 when i execute configure file using ./configure i get an error that gcc or cc is not set on my path. i am confused that how can it be set when i don't have gcc installed on my computer yet. What is the problem . please reply. Its very urgent

You can not run ./config because it uses gcc.

To install gcc on SuSE when it isn't installed you can not use source files(Hard to compile source without a compiler). You need to find the binary and install that way.

But can you tell me link to gcc binary . I tried a lot but couldn't get

Start looking on these pages. Start with the bottom one. I would suggest that you learn how to use google, and maybe the SuSE forums. Those forums can be very helpful and I happen to know there are my threads there with step by step instructions of this problem. Please look at you distribution forums first or you will get may people who will ignore you, or just bash you.
