Installing gate opening capability 2

Client has a Merlin Plus. They have a gate phone. Not an actual telephone but a push to talk type of phone. Once granted perission to enter, customer pushes a button. How do I transfer that capability to an ACS R7?

There is a Contact Closure adjunct available for the Partner ACS. Could that, somehow be integrated into the gate's existing hardware

Is the phone a hotline phone on an extension port at the moment with a door controller that takes the touch tones and opens or is the door opening a contact closure that gets triggered by the system another way?
if #1 then you just need to get the same hookup on the Partner and no problems if #2 then the door controller that Dexman said is your option
