I installed exchange server 5.5 on windows 2000 server without a problem, when I click into the admin snapin for exchange it asks me to find the server name, and when i do a browser it comes back saying there is no server exsisting.

DO I need windows 2000 server to be a domain controller, as well do I need AD installed in order to run exchange server?

Do you have a domain controller in the network (AD server, or NT4.0 PDC?) If Win2K AD, is this operating in mixed-mode? If Win2K, when the AD was installed did you specify interoperability with previous versions of windows? How many nodes on the network? How is your network performing name resolution (dns/wins?)

Need a tiny bit more info.
