Hello,

I have read the FAQ's and read the docs that are produced with a did's search here. I have follwed the instructions and am still having problems.

I have istalled DID's on MICS' in the past with no problem but now I am trying to get some installed on an 8X24, DR4, and am having no luck with this 8x24.

On the C.O. side the trunks are configured as wink start and they are sending three digits. They have tested each of the trunks and are recieving the requisite signaling from the 8x24 for a wink start.

On the 8x24 side I have (1) 6 port copper expansion card with (1) 0x12 in port 1 and (1) 0x16 in port 2. In the 0x16 there are (2) DID cards installed in slots 1 & 2. And to reiterate I have DR4.

In Module Status it shows "0 TCs on TM 3" if I press "TC" it says 0 lines on TC1 and if i press "state" it says "0 lines busy"

As an example:

In Trk/line data I set line #081 digits recieved to 240 (the phone number is 865-9240) then in line data I set it "private to" 222 ( the station i want that did to ring to).

Then I added line 081 to ring on 222.

Now, if i dial the DID number (865-9240) i get dead air. no ring, no busy, no reorder, no nuttin'(anything).

I looked for somewhere to to verify the the signaling is set to WINK but have found none. The fact that the CO sees the wink kind of eliminates that though.

I hope that I have given all of the information needed to HELP ME!!!

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Michael

Under Module Status, you should be seeing your trunk cards.
Try another re-boot.
You can assign the DID trunks to a set just to watch them light when a call hits the trunk. Good for trouble shooting. Also, you can use your butt set on the trunk inputs to dial your 3 digits to see if target lines are functioning properly. Also, the DID trunks are polarity sensative. Just a few things to look for.

Under Trunk/line data did you change the trunk type to DID for your trunk cards. Assuming your trunk mod is plugged into the top port of the 6-port expansion, you need to set lines 009-012, and lines 013-016 for DID. The station mod should be plugged into the bottom port of the 6-port expansion to maintain consecutive station numbering.

Brian,

Thanks, setting lines 009-016 did the trick. If you go and take a look at the FAQ, "how to install DID's on an 8X24" you will see that the FAQ does not mention this at all.

Thanks again,

Michael
