Installing Developer6i

Hi ! I'm a complete newbee and moreover I'm French.
I've installed Oracle8i Enterprise Edition and now I would like to install Developer 6i but it doesn't work. I can't install it in the same home directory. And if I install it in a new home, Oracle8i stop working.
So I'd like to know what is the solution to use Oracle8i and Developer6i together.

install your oracle 8i enterprise edition first.
Then install developer 6i (forms, reports, graphics etc).
Then copy the tnsnames from your enterprise edition install and replace the tnsnames from forms, reports, graphics.
Finally, delete the sqlnet from forms, reports, graphics (DO NOT DELETE ONE FROM 8i) and you are done.
It should work, it always works.
