We are trying to install Crystal Enterprise Report Application Server (RAS) 9. The installation process apparently runs smoothly, but when we test the Launchpad and click on the ePortfolio link we get a "HTTP 404 - File not found" error.
I've searched Business Objects Knowledge base and found serval documents that seem to offer solutions to this problem, such as Articles C2014067 and C2012624. All these artilces indicate that I need to manually create virtual directories and application mappings in our websites. The server we are installing on, does not use a default website but rather has serval different websites on it.
The troulbe is that these documents indicate I should create these virtural directories pointing to file system directories that do not exist and the application mappings are to a wcsinsapi.dll and/or wcsisapi.dll. But I can not find any dll files like these on either the webserver or installation disk?
Out of desperation, I copied a wcsinsapi.dll file from an CE RAS 8.5 installation on another webserver box. When I tried to create one of the required mappings I get an error "You must enter a valid file path."
Can anybody provide insight into what we are supposed to be doing here? We are at our wits end.
Some specifics:
Windows Server 2000
IIS
Crystal Enterprise Report Application Server 9
Thank You.
