Installing CPU and memory

hello forum,
I am going to be installing a 2nd Cpu and another 4 DIMMS to my Sun E250. I am adding 512MB RAM and another 400MHz Cpu. Is there anything quirky about doing this? Any special care I should take with doing this? Adjustments I need to configure for the 2nd Cpu? I have never added to a Sun box, only PCs.

When you boot up use boot -r and it will look for new devices.

I know you don't need to do a boot -r for memory but am unsure for a new cpu. I would doubt it though since your hardware is located in POST and the reconfigure option for boot is just loading drivers. I am not too familiar with the E250 but I do know that for optimal system performance you should stagger your memory in each memory bank. Just follow the instructions that come with the memory and you should be fine.
