Hi,

I was told by a tech that it was possiable to connect a 8x24 with DR 5 and a 0x32 with REL 4.1 by installing centrex line, so that calls can be transfer from one location to an other, low volume .The two locations are about 300 miles apart, and if so can the centrex lines be setup as a rotary, were we live the cost of a centrex line is $40.00 and the cost of a pots line is $60.00, If it's not possiable to use centex do we need to use E&M TIE ,DISA?

Thanks

CC,
Your connection methond, cost and connect services required are the driving issues. For instance, you can connect the two units with either centrex or POTS but what you are using is likely to be DISA (internal access on each system), costs on this you already have. You could also do an internet VOIP analog connect in the same way, again using DISA - would you have enough bandwidth on your internet access to accomodate this without service expansion? You could get a DISA and an external CONF/TRANSFER with the two ISDN ports - ISDN rents by the month, month/connect time & long distance. Your ICS will do ISDN, your Modular 8X24 I don't think will. You will need an external Terminal Adapter. PRI is also a connect option albeit more expensive.
If you have VPNs perhaps you already have IP switches to accomodate a VOIP link.
So there are a great many options depending on budget, requirements and acceptable maintenance support levels.
