installing BB

Hi,

I have difficulty to install BES 4.0, I think the problem began after I install MDAC 2.8 and reboot the server.

When I login, I get pop-up message that says, one or more service is failed to start, I found that MS Exchange Management is in starting state for a long time, finally after few minutes the status become started.

I try to install BES, and I got error message: couldn't load cdo.dll.

Any Idea what happened? I follow BB instruction to install SP3 for ex2000, install hotfix for cdo.dll and register it.

Do I need to install MDAC before Exchange message &collaboration? Or I have to use older MDAC.

I'm about to do the upgrade from BES version 3.6.4.8 to version 4.0 next week. I've talked to RIM tech and they told me to download the MDAC utility from Microsoft and run it on BES server first. RIM said I should not have any problem with existing BB devices out there. Once we got the MDAC done, we can do the auto upgrade to version 4.0 as long as we point to the right server that has our database.
