Installing Audix Voice Mail on a Nortel 81c

We are changing from Meridian to Audix on two 81c's. I've researched some through an intergration manual provided by the vender but I'm curious to know if anyone out there has had to do the same and if they would share comments good and bad with what I have to look forward to. A couple of quick questions... 1. How are they connected. 2. Can we still keep Meridian running in the background for menu service etc... Any input would be greatly appreciated.
