installing asp.net

I have a windows 2003 server enterprise x64 edition server. I am trying to install asp.net. I see active server pages as an option but that isn't really the same thing is it? All instructions in the server's help say asp.net should be a choice that shows up in add/remove programs and also when you go to Manage Your Server then pick Application Server as your role. I have the correct disk in. Anybody got any suggestions?

Do you mean you want to install the .NET framework? If so, go to here and run the setup file:
