Installing Apache 1.3.22 on AIX 5L, 'vm_types' errors

An Apache newbie here, installing Apache 1.3.22 on a fresh, new AIX 5L server.
No problems during 'configure' command, but when running 'make' I receive a string of errors like:
"/usr/include/sys/vm_types.h:60arse error before 'vmid64_t':warning:data definition has no type or storage class"
Is this a missing library or a configuration option that I have missed? We have a couple of AIX 4.3 servers already running Apache and I have copied over what I believe to be all the relevant directory's.
The apache.org web site and Websphere site don't mention AIX 5L.

Solved,
Faulty install for GCC. Downloaded latest and greatest and re-installed. vm_types re-populated and now the Apache install doesn't complain.
