installing and configuring solaris 8 on intel platform

I have 60 gb hard drive. c has 2000 pro and d has 2000 server. e has fat partition and i want to install solaris 8. i have cd and tried to boot from cd but no luck. my cd rom is bootable. please guide me step by step. i will appreciate it.
