my system is CS1000M, i have just upgraded from release 4.0 CPPII to 7.50Q CPPIV and installed a signaling server with a new hardware NTDW54 for large system. i make this signaling server as a primary server.

there was another card delivered on site, with the same hardware NTDW54, my question now, what will i configure this card now as a member server or a backup server....

I would not configure it as a backup server, just make it a member server. It's the same process. Load the Linux, put in the 3 base patches, do the security configuration and tell it that it's a member server. As soon as you do that it will ask you what is the IP address of the Primary. Finish the security config, reboot, deploy apps and then put in the SP

I would install the server as a member server, because you do not need a backup security server...
