I'm running BCB6. After installing FarPoint Spread (spreadsheet component), I get the following error in my project:

"This application has failed to start because FarpointSpread.bpl was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

When I dismiss the error message box, the CPU window is open and seems to indicate a memory access error. (Please pardon my ignorance regarding this. I'm not an expert in this.)

To make it more interesting another copy of the same project gives a different error when I try to run it. It has a fatal linker error with the following message: [Linker Fatal Error] Fatal: Unable to open file '>.OBJ'.

I've reinstalled FarPoint several times to no avail. Other test projects using the Farpoint component run fine. Can anyone suggest how to fix either of these problems? Thanks.

The compiler is not finding the FarpointSpread.bpl file.
In Builder6 click on Projects, then click on Options, then click on the Packages tab, then click on the Add button, when the File Dialog Box opens find FarpointSpread.bpl and add it. That should solve your problem.
