Hello,

I have an existing 40g HD where the OS is installed (W2K w/ sp3). I would like to install a second HD w/ 120g. I want to use this HD for data storage.

The problem:
the new 120g HD does not illustrate jumper settings to set it up as slave. I already have the old HD as primary. Can someone guide me to the right direction to accomplish my goal?

In addition, the new HD is suppose to be a SEAGATE 120G HD (oem white label). What is does oem white label mean? Plus I can't find the SEAGATE label anywhere on the HD. I purchased this HD from econopc.com (worst service).

P.S.
I'm not much of a hardware guy [sadeyes]

Thank you in advance,

You need an 80 wire cable, and set both hard drives to "Cable Select" or "CS".
Put the blue connector on the motherboard, the black to your existing 40 gig, and the grey to the 120 gig.
You may also have to find a BIOS update for your computer to recognize such a large drive.
To find out if it's truly a Seagate, dig up the model number, and google it.

Cheers,
Jim
