Hello,
I am installing a new S8300 LSP w/G700 and I am having trouble creating a super user. We are running CM 3.0 on the S8710 primary server. I found instruction on how to do it on CM 4.0 but it doesn't work on the CM 3.0. Once I load the license file it lock me out of the box.

Any ideas?????

make sure "dadmin" is enabled on your RFA license, then you should be able to do it.

after you load the license and authentication files you should be able to run a save trans on the s8700 to have the login info pushed out to the 8300/lsp

so is it best to configure the p330 stack and then do the installation from the S8710 or do it directly on the S8300

once i load the license i can't log back in to do a save trans without the login

I've had this problem before.

Once the G700 is mastered.

Install the license file on your s8710 servers using the management web interface
Install the license file on the G700
Reboot the G700
Install the Authentication file on the G700
Then Save translations.

If you have MSA turned on in your switch, you should be able to log in using the same username/password as on your 8700.

That is exactly what is happening however like you said once I load the Authentication file on the G700 i can't access the S8300 any more. How did you get around this?

you need to push the save trans fromn the 8700 not the 8300.

okay I pushed the sav trans from the 8710 but I still can't access the S8300 LSP

How long did you wait before trying. It often takes a while for the translations to get to the LSP.

The only thing thats going to do now is load the translations (including login info) to the LSP. If thats occured and you still cant access the system then I would start to suspect the authentication file.

Did you reboot between loading the License and Auth file? I've encountered a handful of Gateways that get screwed up if you don't and had to re-master the LSP.
