I had one of our cards go out in the system. It was throwing a Dual Port RAM error. So I would assume that I have to replace it. Since all the extensions on the card would not work anymore. When I swap it out with a diferent card, what do I need to do in the SPM to get it to work? Do I need to renumber the board or what. Sorry I don't know much about all this, I am in the process of learning. I am actually new to the whole phone thing. The company I work for is a medium sized business but doesn't have a phone guy at this time, so I have to kinda work on it for the time being.

Thanks for any help I get.

You need to do a board renumber when putting in a new card. Menu->System Program->Start->System->Board Renumber->Yes. The system will restart and "look" out at all of the cards installed in the system.

But before you do this, consider carefully: If you are replacing the card with the exact same type, you will be OK. If however, it is a different type, the renumber will affect all stations and lines in the switch after the new card. You may need to do some reprogramming to make everything work properly again.

Thanks man, I was not sure if that would have fixed it or not. I don't think fixing the other extensions after that will be a problem...

Thanks again
