I need to change the Redirect and COS on a NAM 4.0. I have a NAM 4.1 network card available. Can I install this card into the NAM 4.0 and will it work so I can log in via the IP address?

You will need the key code for NVM as well which I am pretty sure you wont find one so I wouldn't waste your time.
Keep the card in case one fails on site somewhere.

As for Redirect you can install the Redirect patch instead, download here

Thank you will this also allow the COS to be changed from F983 as it does in 4.1 and set REDIRECT to ( N ) in F983 selection ( 8 )? The instructions refer to making a diskette, I have no way to create a diskette is there an alternate way to get this patch into the NAM?

Thank you

No the redirect patch only changes redirect.

You can hook up a keyboard and monitor.

okay I know how to hook up the keyboard and monitor so I can take care of that.

Can I change the redirect features through using a monitor and keyboard?

Is that where I change the redirect because I have no idea how I would be able to create a diskette that technology just isn't available these days.

Yes you can program via the keyboard.

By the way cab I dial in to the NAM telephone modem on the unit and use the NRU to do this? I have a laptop that has an analog modem on it.

The monitor cable will not fit the connection the one on the NAM has fewer pins. I was able to do this on a 4.1 because it has a connector with more pns that will take the standard monitor cable.

There is no modem card either on that unit either but I believe I have one in another unit can I remove that modem and install it in the unit to access it via the NRU program? There is no way for me to crate a diskette I got rid of my floppy drive years ago along with my 8 Track Tape Player and Beta Max.

You will probably need the virtual modem driver too.

NRU is for KSU programming, you need Norstar Voicemail Manager 4.

Do you still have Win XP?

Why not take it to a vendor or possibly upgrade it of find somebody else who has a disk drive.

Installed the modem, dialed in , modem answered, logged on and then activated Voice Mil Manager, entered IP address and password and got right in and changed all the settings including COS.

Thanks
