we have a client with a BCM200(3.7)

they have a 4x16 currently in it.

they need 8 more analog lines. we are getting a GATM8 for them and i need to install it. i was reading through the installation and maintenence guide but didnt really follow on how i need to set it up.

im not sure what the DIP switches should be set at or what the DS30 bus should be assigned?

phyisically i know how to install it and i know how to program the lines, but not sure on the dip switch and bus settings?

what bus are the 4 analog trunks using on the 4x16? If it's using 6 then use 5.

jamaster.. you should also be aware that that you will lose those 16 Digital stations when you pull that 4x16 mod.

@kwtaylor - im not removing the 4x16, im adding the GATM in the other MBM slot

@dasheen - i believe the 4x16 is bus 3, the lines were assigned 189,190,191,192

You could either use offset 1 of bus 3 or bus 5,6 or 7.

offset 1 bus 3- XXOXXO
bus 5- XXXXOO
bus 6- XXXOXX
bus 7- XXXOXO

where X is on and O is off

Just make sure that the 4X16 is not using bus 2 if it is the case then use offset 1 of bus 2 which is; XXOXXX

gberger, thank you...

best way to tell what bus the 4x16 is on?
