hello all

i am trying to install a font in the pc but due to security controls its not installing the font on the pc where i am working. is it possible to forcefully install the font on the pc. the pc has admin full controls which is denying me to install the font to read the local newspaper. your help will be appreciated..

thanks in advance.

Be nicer to the local Administrator.
If he denies you the control panel applet, this is a decidedly non-trivial exercise, and likely he has denied the registry sections that would be involved.

To make a related point:

I was asked a similar issue recently, and it turned out that they needed a special font to be able to on-line use the crossword puzzle section of the local newspaper.

Neither I nor the local Administrator felt compelled to resolve this issue. If perusing the local newspaper is a legitimate part of your job description, than ask your immediate supervisor to intervene.

its not at work place but the recess room where everybody uses computer to read news from websites. i give respect @ work place and never try to the stuff at work place. thanks..

You still have to ask him to permit this operation. Installing a font is a decidedly non-trivial exercise. You have a fair and good argument. Make it to the system admininstrator.
