Board renumber will cause the system to reboot and reset according to the current cards. Be aware that if you have other cards after slot two they'll be effected by doing this as a 408 has 8 extension ports and an 024tdl has 24.
In addition to the above post, all the station ports after slot two will be shifted up by 24. So you want to review the station layout of your system using the dial plan or station assignments. It might be a good idea to print the stuff so you can see it all at once. Then you can mark up the print, and know what stations need to be reprogrammed. Depending on what is in the rest of the switch, you may have a lot of programming to do!
I am now having trouble dialing out of the pri. where do i setup pools for the pri? we have a fractional 8 channels. The carrier is able to dial out on a Tbird but when I try I get a busy signal. please help
You took a 408 out, and put an 024 in essentially getting rid of 4 lines that were there. Depending upon where your T1 card is, you'll need to adjust the lines assigned to it. If you're not sure how, you may need to put the 408 back in and hopefully you did a backup prior to swapping the cards that you can use to restore the old programming.
