Trying to put on the patch, guess I forgot how.

I tried copying them on the SD card, can't overwrite read-only files.

Tried pointing the Manager to the bin file and do an upgrade, but it still shows the current 9.0 as "available".

Done this before on 8.x, but now I'm blanking. Someone could refresh my memory?

You could try to stop and start the card.
You can do this from system status.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I read that SP4 was due out mid August and it would already include this patch. Checked today and still no SP4 update :(

August is what i know so this week or maybe next week if delayed.

Is there any reason PRI is mentioned on this post? I have a customer complaining of call drops and bad audio but I am positive this is from the upstream from the isdn pri

Extract the new bin files under the Manager directory then bring up the manager and connect to the system go under advanced and do upgrade. It should show that the system will be upgraded to 9.0.3.16 build 2. Do the upgrade then you are done.

I've upgraded both by copying files straight to the SD card, and by pointing the Manager at the bins file. In neither case did it show that it was an updated build (it shows 9.0.3 b941), and it didn't fix the problem. System still reboots.

I mean, how dumb do you have to be to not just embbed in the coding a return to the AA or a busy tone in such a scenario? It's beyond stupid.

Ehh, not to offend you but not being to upgrade it getting stupid :)
I know you are not stupid so something must go wrong somewhere.
It is very easy, copy the IP500v2.bin file in C:/Program Files/Avaya/IPOffice/Manager.
Then start a normal upgrade.

That is it and if this does not work then recreate the card.
If that does not work then something is broken or blocking it.

I have tried 3 different methods. If you look at the bins file you download from Avaya, the release is exactly the same, so there is no way to know if the patch isn't working, or not installing.

I replaced the bin files and i have upgrade a couple systems already.
It was just a normal upgrade.
Be aware that only the IPO will upgrade and not any modules!
