I have installed 8i enterprise on a local NT machine, it has created the trial database and placed the name in the file tree. However when I try to access it using the dba studio I get an error message that the object doesn't exist. I have tried to create a new db with the assistant and using the manual option but still can't access it. Can 8i enterprise be used on a local machine?. My thanks to anyone who can help.
