It appears to be possible to install 8.6.3878 on a Windows XP workstation from the following techNote excerpt:
The ability to install on and backup/restore Windows XP computers has been added to Backup Exec starting with Backup Exec for Windows NT and Windows 2000 v8.6 build 3878. This support is limited to computers running Windows
XP Professional that either are part of a domain or have Guest-level share access (ForceGuest) disabled.
I verified that guest-level share access is disabled. I still get to the same point in the installation which asks for a user/domain/pass. How do I bypass the request for a domain?
Thanks,
Aaron
