We are running Windows 98SE workstations on Novell 5.0. One workstation is being replaced by a new Windows XP Professional machine. I am concerned about problems I might be able to avoid when installing the client on this new machine. My experience with Windows in the past has been somewhat of a nightmare and I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary problems. I've looked on the Novell site but haven't found much. I'd appreciate any and all of your recommendations.

make sure you have a dlu policy running so that accounts will be created locally

the 4.9 client will default to ip only - this should be ok but make sure you have your slp setup.
dont install nmas

pop up and have a look at - there is a lot that needs tweaked shall we say
