I installed net-snmp 5.4 on a solaris 8 server, and stopped mibiisa. I was already monitoring ethernet interfaces with prtg, but once I started net-snmp, my ethernet sensors were not collecting data.

I tried to add a new sensor (standard sensor, not a custom) and I received the message "no mib2 compatible ports were found on this device".

I stopped net-snmp and restarted mibiisa, and the data for the ethernet interfaces appears again.

When I try to use snmpwalk now, it says it can't connect because I stopped net-snmp.

Any ideas? What is the OID for the ethernet interfaces (inbound and outbound) with net-snmp 5.4.

Thank you

What I had to do was start netsnmp on a different port because mibiisa was running on 161. Once I did that I could see both the network interfaces and the cpu info. If anyone knows how to convert the cpu info into % cpu usage, I would appreciate it. I'm currently using the mibs 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.768-771 and I only get figures like 60,000,000 instead of percent used.
