Has anyone ever had the ip address change after you powered it off and back on?
Has anyone had the system say the 3 digits you enter are not valid but then when it ask you to reenter it takes them the 2nd time?
I am going to call the place where I got the call pilot on monday because it was supposed to be set up with 60 mailboxes but only has 20 and it had mailboxes programmed with names and extensions. But wanted to see if anyone out there has ever had these issues and had any fixes. this is what happened when I installed it.

I had a customer that their call pilot quit working, they were able to get another one friday night and i went to install it sat. When it 1st came up on the link with serial connection it showed the ip address as 192.168.0.2 their old one was 192.168.110.10. however i could not access it thru internet explorer even after changing my ip address. i could access it thru the phone but since it is so much faster thru the computer to add the names i really wanted to connect thru the ip. i powered it back down and when it came back up it showed the ip as 172.20.0.20 i changed my ip to use 172.20.0.21 and was able to get access thru my computer. i went thru and thought i had all the programming correct but when i called the main number i kept getting the mailbox you have reached is not active. i made sure i had all my greetings done. I had the lines ringing on one of the phones so we could redirect them to her cell phone since they use the autoattenant, so i changed them to just appearing but then i couldn't get the vm to answer the call. i took it back down and tried the flash card from the old system. the aa worked but when you tried to check your messages it didn't ask for your password it just said exit in the display. so i took it back down and put the flash card that came with the new unit back in. it came up and now the aa answers and you can check your messages. I made test calls and when i get the aa greeting and i enter an ext # it says that ext is not valid and ask for it again i reenter it and it goes thru. Its about 3 out of 10 times i got that message and had to reenter. I could not login on the serial side it did not like any login or password i tried? I don't understand why it came up the 1st time with one ip address and then come up with a different one that stayed the same. any suggestions on how i could maybe get the old flash card to work since it had more mailboxes or what could have caused it to just exit out when trying to access the mailbox? Any help would be great if you can

I lot to answer...

For key codes you cant just put one software into another and expect the key codes to follow, they wont.
Key codes for anything are tied to the systemid/serial number.

You need to raise a case with Avaya to transfer the key codes from one product to another.

The programming for the mailboxes maybe on the card but they wont become active until you do the above.

Its possible the card took a hit along with the cabinet.
Try another card to see if it works....if so then try to upgrade the old card to hopefully clear any glitches.
