Hello,

I have installed (from a customised cd) Personal Oracle9i Release 9.2.0.1.0 and also Forms Version 6.0.8.11.3 - in separate homes.

I now wish to Install designer from Oracle free download site. I know in past I had problems with installation so much so that I ended deleting the whole installation and doing a clean delete.

Can someone please advise whether des would need to be in same home as Forms developer or as separate home. What issues do i need to be aware of as to not end up with 'botched-up' instaalation?

Would very much appreciate with gratefulness any sound assistance.

Rgds,,,,

What Designer version are you going to install? 9i or 6i? 6i may be installed into the same 6i home.
If you do want to have no (or at least minor) problems, you should pay for support to be able to download patches and read notes. Oracle Designer is not very popular in free society. Another advice is to read installation manuals carefully. In most cases they're quite small and do contain all necessary precautions about version compatibilit/coexistance.

Regards, Dima
