Installation Terminated By Error

During Installation of sco openserver on Acer Altos 330, we got one error :-

system error-17, errors creating sym-links.

Any body having idea about what went wrong?

Was this a new install or an upgrade? Did you partition and divvy the drive as part of the install? Did you boot from the CD-Rom or the Floppy for the install.

The message says errors creating symbolic links, which suggests that the install was not able to access one or more of your file systems. This could be a hardware problem (i.e. bad hard drive, bad controller, or incompatible driver), or a partition/filesystem size problem (i.e. it ran out of room), or a filesystem problem (i.e. it loaded the OS on a filesystem other than root and that filesystem was no longer accessible). Another possibility if you booted from the CD-Rom is that the install lost connection to the drive.

These are just some ideas. I'm not exactly sure what your problem is.
