INSTALLATION PROB'S ORA ON WINXP

Hi friends!!!!!!!
i have been facing a problems while installing oracle9i on win xp.
iam trying to install dev tools like repots6i,while doing that its keep 0on saying ' you should stop services ' but could not make it!
plz help

Hi,

Start C:\documents and ...\admin...\services
Look for the Oracle Services running and press the STOP-Button.

Then they are stopped and you can continue
