Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the installation Crystal Reports version 7.
I had originally installed C.R. 7 on a web server using the "Typical Installation" option. This installation went through without a hitch.
I experienced some troubles with my reports and tried uninstalling and then re-installing C.R. 7. When I re-installed, I chose "Custom Installation" so that I my have more control over the Data Access options.
The installation begins and after completing 20% of the install, I start getting error messages stating something like:

"Cannot read from c:\WINNT\System32\odbcjet.dll."

I get 5 of these messages, all relating to ODBC files. The files exist and the permission on the files are good. I am using a Windows 2000 Professional box, running IIS web services and SQL Server 2000. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad

Bradder,

My experience of Seagate products leads me to do the following when uninstalling/reinstalling.

After using uninstall - go to run command in windows and type in regedit.

Then go through the registry and delete any seagate software folders thus eliminating all files left that were not uninstalled, a common problem.

Then reinstall.

See if that works

Cheers,
