I am getting a msadox "cannot register dll" error during my installation of a vb6 app. We developed the app on a 2000 machine and installing on a 98SE machine. Can anyone help? I have tried to manually register it, but it errors out.

Try installing the most recent version of MDAC (I think 2.7 Refresh) on the host machine; also some 98 machines will not run VB6 apps using ADO unles DCOM is also installed. Both downloads are free at Microsoft website.

You are trying to install a win2k .dll onto a win98 machine, you need to install the correct version of the .dll on the win98 pc.

The adox.dll is the win2k.dll?
