installation problem

i got an old pc wher i want to install win 98 or win 2000 on it.
I 've done a format c
but now i'm stil find a virtual drive even in DOS ???
then when i' instal win98 (or win2k) i've got problem with some DLL-files and i can't install neither win 98 or win2 properly.

somebody knows a command to go further than format C ?

or any other solutions ?

FDISK it and recreate the partition, then format

If you keep getting errors on install it could also be a memory issue
